Within these broad areas, we can assist with selecting commercially available equipment, help decide what parts of a setup to build in-house, collaboratively design and build custom equipment, and help with integrating multiple pieces of equipment together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Personnel<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lab is led by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.danielwagenaar.net\">Daniel Wagenaar<\/a>, a neuroscientist with experience in imaging, electrophysiology, and optical, mechanical, and software engineering. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visit us<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lab is located in room B103 in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caltech.edu\/map\/campus\/tianqiao-and-chrissy-chen-neuroscience-research-building\">Chen Neuroscience Research Building<\/a>. I look forward to working with you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">History and funding<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Neurotechnology Laboratory was founded upon an initiative by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbe.caltech.edu\/content\/markus-meister\">Markus Meister<\/a> with support from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbe.caltech.edu\/content\/david-j-anderson\">David Anderson<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbe.caltech.edu\/content\/michael-h-dickinson\">Michael Dickinson<\/a>, and others at Caltech. The Lab is funded by the <a href=\"http:\/\/beckmaninstitute.caltech.edu\/\">Beckman Institute<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbe.caltech.edu\/\">Division of Biology and Biological Engineering<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/provost.caltech.edu\/\">Office of the Provost<\/a>, and by contributions from users.
